💡 Today’s Minimum Viable Idea
🏀 🏈 Sports Betting Platform with Live Game Feed Access

IDEA: Sports betting is one of the hottest industries in the world right now. And in the United States, it is only becoming more popular as gambling is being legalized in many states. Hell, even Kentucky allows it. There are all sorts of betting apps out there, so you have to be different if you want to compete. You are also going to have to target a very niche group of people. Many bettors will stick to football, basketball, and baseball; sports that they know AND they can watch on TV. But what about the fringe bettors? The real ‘degenerate’ gamblers who are in it for the love of the game. The Americans who will stay up late refreshing sketchy websites for updates on second division Japanese volleyball, or South African rugby, or Real Madrid vs PSG… handball. How do you reach those gamblers?
PRODUCT: Create a sports betting platform with live game feed access. In addition to US and mainstream international sports, offer line and prop bets on a wide array of obscure international sports. Strike deals with overseas leagues to be their US streaming partner. Grant users access to obscure live game feeds for a minimum bet of $5. Get a casual fan hooked on the Tokyo Great Bears or the Berlin Recycling Volleys and you’ve got a customer for life.
MVP: Betting lines integrated via API with link to Youtube Live feeds or other free feeds.
REVENUE MODEL: Transactional, charge per bet.
EXIT STRATEGY: Sell to a large betting service like DraftKings or FanDuel for 7x revenue.

Summary: AltoVolo has launched a customizable online configurator for its upcoming three-seater hybrid-electric aircraft called the Sigma. Users can select exterior colors, materials, upholstery details and more, much like customizing a supercar. The Sigma promises around 500 miles of range, speeds exceeding 220 mph, and operates at sound levels over 80% quieter than a helicopter. The aircraft features fault-tolerant electric jet engines, a ballistic parachute and fits within light sport aircraft certification rules under the U.S. MOSAIC framework. By combining design flexibility, quieter electric propulsion and advanced safety features, AltoVolo aims to make personal air travel feel as tailored as driving a car.
Spin: Well, it’s about damn time. I have had the hardest time finding the perfect aircraft that best fits my needs… until now. While it isn’t a private jet, these flying machines are more akin to a helicopter and it is surprisingly less expensive than one might think. At 863,200 Euros, it costs way less than I thought. But, you better hurry, they’re only taking 100 applications.

Summary: Miles McBride, a guard for the New York Knicks, is launching a new mobile app named Mmotion designed to help people make friends by sharing location and interest information. The app blends features of geolocation tracking with social discovery. Users join “Circles” based on interests (like hiking, basketball, art) and see nearby friends, while local cafés, bars, and studios are recommended. Mmotion emphasizes privacy: location data is encrypted by default, and users can create multiple “Personas” to control which groups can view which locations. Currently in beta for New York with plans for broader rollout, the app will be subscription-based.
Spin: This sounds like the first friend-finding app that may actually work. Usually it takes a community leader to build an online presence and host events for things like this to work. But with this app, it seems like anyone can start an organize an event for any kind of activity without even trying. More power to McBride, but it’s definitely going to be hard to be an NBA player and a venture-backed startup founder. Both are incredibly demanding and taxing on your body, one obviously more physically than mentally. That said, I am glad we are finally getting a friend-finding app that isn’t just some knockoff of “Tinder for friends.”
🚂 Motivation Station
🧱 Ready to run through a brick wall or do you need an extra push?
Today’s motivation comes from a TEDTalk about branding. The speaker, Youri Sawerschel, takes a humble pen, alluding to the famous sales test “sell me this pen”, and not only makes a compelling case for why you should buy it, but shows you how to start a movement. This is a must watch for entrepreneurs launching their brand.

😡 Social Media Site for Miserable People
IDEA: There are some truly miserable people in this world. Some of them hide behind anonymous social media accounts and try to bring people down, some troll every post on Reddit or X then shoot down any attempt at positivity, and some even comment rude things on cute pictures of dogs. Why don’t we just give them their own platform so they can leave the rest of us alone? It would work because there are few universal truths and one of them is “misery loves company.”
Create a site and recruit the most negative people from comment sections across the internet. Have bots post things that normal people are excited about like sports, graduation, buying a house or car, a political cause they believe in gaining traction, getting engaged, etc. then let the Debbie Downers of the world have at it… far away from the rest of us.
